Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Claassen works with the VTL sustainability system. As the first network for medium-sized distribution companies has VTL has a TüV certified Network Carbon Footprint, which contains CO2 consumption during transport processes and all other business processes.
 
Claassen undertakes various initiatives in the field of sustainability, which are always aimed at saving the environment and reduce costs. Alternative fuels are for instance tested and trucks are equipped with the cleanest engines available. Our drivers are sent on annual New Drive training courses, with significant fuel savings as a result.
 
On a social level Claassen participates in projects to help people with disabilities to be integrated into the labour market. In addition Claassen is also an approved learning company and we collaborate with vocational education institutions.
 
The Claassen Executive Board participates in and manage projects that serve the general interest, such as the environment, the logistics industry and activities in local regions.
